Music Psychotherapy
In therapy, building a trusting relationship through communication is an important part of the work. When words alone are not enough, music can provide a safe and supportive way to connect and work toward personal growth.
Through a combination of exploring familiar music, playing and singing alone or together, creating songs, breathing/relaxation and talking, the client and the therapist can develop a trusting relationship and work toward goals which will help strengthen sense of self and support well-being.  Music psychotherapy works with the connection between the mind and body to reach optimum health. No prior musical experience is needed to fully benefit from music psychotherapy.
